A little background, first. I was keeping a journal of sorts where i'd go and write down random thoughts on gamedev topics that interested me. i'd open a new word doc (or the one i started already for that day) and i'd just start typing my thoughts out. occasionally i'd write some code and talk about it as i wrote and tested it. well i got some pretty neat shit done when i was doing it, and i haven't been more focused in my life.
I found the old journal on my mom's computer - the other computer crashed, so format/reinstall kinda bashed it to peices. i started a new one last night - but i didn't really go anywhere with it yet. fucking chatrooms.. in any case, Washu of afternet#gamedev mentioned that a blog would be a cool idea - instead of just yourself bashing your ideas, you can have the whole fucking internet to tell you that you suck. fuck it, i said, and here i am now.
i've got a site over at http://steelgolem.kno3productions.com/ and i'm guessing i'll use it as an ftp for my projects and whatnot that i'll be linking to here. its going to be a bit tough to make a backup of the blogs themselves - who knows how the shit i'll be doing that.
if i'm currently adding to my blog, i'm going to have [editing...] or some such thing at the end of the post, and (hopefully) i'll be updating every 10min or so. i'd much rather just be ctrl-s'ing like i do in word, this is a bit more of a pain in the ass. should be interesting though.
with all that in mind, i'm going to end this post and start up on some actual gamedev.
